Wesley Snipes
Wesley Snipes presented documents saying that the government failed to disclose the key witness against him, Kenneth Starr, his former accountant who was under investigation in “criminal actions of conniving to escape income taxes” with other client.
Snipe’s attorney insists that jury wouldn’t have supposed Kenneth Starr’s testimony against Snipes if they only knew Starr at first was being investigated and for this reason Snipes wants to be tried again.
Way back in 2008, Snipes failed to pay the government of almost $12,000,000 found being guilty of not filing a tax returns from 1999 to 2001. Ago, Snipes was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment but he claims that there was “jury misconduct” during his trial with evidences he could show from the emails he got.
Recently, the federal appeals court has denied Snipes claims that his 36 months in prison for tax evasion verdict is “unreasonable.”
The judge now drops a hammer against the actor and has ordered him to directly submit to federal authorities to pay the price of the tax crimes offense being committed – to serve 3 years in prison.
Who understands why people refuse to pay their taxes?
"If it didn't work for Al Capone or Tony Montana, then why would tax evasion work for anyone else?..." A statement made by Spokeperson for BetCRIS.com, Esteban Siles.
